FRAMMENTI DI MUSICA PREMATURA Maurizio Lesmi, sax soprano e clarinetto basso Bruno Carrozzieri, chitarra e oud Alberto Popolla, clarinetto e clarinetto basso Deborah Walker, violoncello Imprint Records IM016 Free Miniature 4 We met for the first time in a little room in the Conservatoire in Reggio Emilia where there was a workshop led by M.Godard, M. Mirabassi and J.Ouassini. It didn't happen by chance: we were all searching for something. Alberto from Rome with his instruments and a burning desire to share with other musicians and learn as much as possible from Mirabassi. Deborah Walker had just graduated from the Conservatoire in Reggio Emilia and was beginning to get a taste for the kind music which would enrich her soul. Bruno and Maurizio from Imola, who had played together for some time, and were on the lookout for opportunities to deepen their knowledge of unconventional musical genres.Two years later we got together again to continue our journey along the road mapped out in Reggio Emilia and this CD is the result. It's a sort of "Work in Progress" in which the dominating theme is the desire to play around with musical forms, explore our personalities in a light-hearted way while respecting the diversity which each of us contibutes to the final result and straightforward friendship.
